On 31 October, an opening ceremony was held for the data centre at HayPass’s headquarters.
The event was attended by Mher Grigoryan, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia; Arpine Sargsyan, Minister of Internal Affairs; Johannes Luchner, Deputy Director-General of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs; and Vassilis Maragos, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Armenia, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
Arpine Sargsyan and Régis Bouchier, Head of HayPass, cut the red ribbon, marking the official opening of the office.

During the opening ceremony, Régis Bouchier presented the infrastructure, developed in accordance with the highest international eIDAS standard, which provides a secure ecosystem for documents. Under the agreement, over the next two years, the entire production process will undergo an in-depth review and assessment by a European team of experts, and the infrastructure will be certified.

The guests toured the centre, familiarising themselves with its infrastructure, operational arrangements and data management processes.
The launch of the centre marks an important milestone in the introduction of the new biometric system, aimed at ensuring secure data management and the reliable, uninterrupted operation of the system.
