On 31 October, the official opening ceremony of HayPass’s new office for issuing new biometric documents took place at Yerevan Mall, with Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan presiding.

Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan and Régis Bouchier, Head of HayPass, cut the symbolic ribbon, marking the start of the office’s operations.

The Prime Minister, the Minister of Internal Affairs and other attendees then toured the office. Arpine Sargsyan presented the procedures for biometric data collection and document issuance, the organisation of services and the facilities provided for citizens.

Nikol Pashinyan personally took part in the process of obtaining the new documents by providing the required biometric data. This enabled him to familiarise himself with the service procedures from a citizen’s perspective and assess their clarity and convenience.

Citizens will be able to assess the effectiveness of the new system through their own experience, based on the simplicity of the application procedures, the convenience of the service process and the quality of the service received.
