What Is Bullying, How Does It Manifest Itself, and How Should Children Be Protected? An Expert Explains

29 October 2026 • 06:37

The Ministry of Internal Affairs continues its awareness campaign aimed at raising public awareness of the prevention of violence against minors and similar forms of harmful behaviour.

David Tumasyan, PhD in Law and Associate Professor, outlines the various forms of bullying directed at minors.

The discussion focused in particular on:

✅ Exerting pressure on a child in various ways and subjecting them to physical, psychological and other forms of violence;

✅ Factors contributing to bullying;

✅ Efforts to address the issue;

✅ Child protection.

Remember: running away from bullies or leaving an environment where bullying occurs does not solve the problem. More effective ways of addressing the situation must be found. No child should be subjected to bullying, and every child must be protected in every environment.
