Հունվարի 22-ին Ներքին գործերի նախարար Արփինե Սարգսյանն ընդունել է Հայաստանում ԱՄՆ փոխդեսպան Դեյվիդ Ալենին և Կանզասի Ազգային գվարդիայի պատվիրակությանը՝ հրամանատար, գեներալ-մայոր Մայքլ Վեներդիի գլխավորությամբ։
Ողջունելով ներկաներին՝ նախարարն ընդգծել է Հայաստանի և Միացյալ Նահանգների միջև ձևավորված երկկողմ արդյունավետ և թիրախային համագործակցությունը, որը վերջերս Վաշինգտոնում ձևակերպվեց արդեն որպես ռազմավարական գործընկերություն։ Արփինե Սարգսյանը նշել է, որ ՆԳ նախարարությունն այդ փաստաթղթում ուրույն տեղ է զբաղեցնում։
Հյուրերը շնորհակալություն են հայտնել ջերմ ընդունելության համար, նշել որ այս այցը կնպաստի հետագա համագործակցությանը։

Կանզասի Ազգային գվարդիայի հրամանատար Մայքլ Վեներդին, ընդգծելով ներքին անվտանգության կարևորությունը, նշել է, որ 22 տարվա պատմություն ունեցող բազմաշերտ համագործակցությունը միտված է բացառապես Հայաստանի և Կանզասի քաղաքացիների շահերի սպասարկմանը։
Հանդիպման ընթացքում անդրադարձ է կատարվել նաև Փրկարար ծառայության հետ համագործակցությանը, հատկապես՝ աղետների ռիսկի կառավարման աշխատանքներում։

Արփինե Սարգսյանը բարեփոխումների շրջանակում կարևորել է կրթական բաղադրիչի ընդլայնումը, որակյալ կադրերի պատրաստումն ու վերապատրաստումը։
Կողմերը քննարկել են նաև սեյսմիկ վտանգներին վերաբերող հարցեր, անդրադարձ է կատարվել աղետների ռիսկերի կառավարման ընդհանուր ցիկլին և դրանում ներգրավված դերակատարների հստակեցման հիմնախնդրին:
Քննարկվել են նաև Հայաստանում ստեղծվելիք միասնական օպերատիվ կառավարման կենտրոնի, հանրային հաղորդակցության և բնակչության իրազեկման մակարդակի բարձրացմանն ու ազդարարման համակարգերի արդիականացմանն ուղղված հարցեր։

Ավարտին պայմանավորվածություն է ձեռք բերվել ընդլայնել Հայաստանի և Կանզասի նահանգի միջև ձևավորված բազմաշերտ համագործակցությունը։

The cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the US State of Kansas will be expanded

On January 22, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Arpine Sargsyan, received a U.S. delegation led by Deputy Ambassador to Armenia David Allen and Commander of the Kansas National Guard, Major General Michael Venerdi.
Welcoming the attendees, the Minister emphasized the effective and targeted bilateral cooperation established between Armenia and the United States, which was recently formalized in Washington as a strategic partnership. Arpine Sargsyan noted that the Ministry of Internal Affairs occupies a distinctive place in that document.
The guests expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and noted that this visit will contribute to future cooperation.
Commander of the Kansas National Guard Michael Venerdi, emphasized the importance of internal security and noted that the multi-layered cooperation, which has a 22-year history, is exclusively aimed at serving the interests of Armenian and Kansas citizens.
During the meeting, cooperation with the Rescue Service was also discussed, particularly in the field of disaster risk management.
As part of the reforms, Arpine Sargsyan highlighted the importance of expanding the educational component, as well as the training and retraining of qualified personnel.
The parties also discussed issues related to seismic hazards, addressing the overall disaster risk management cycle and the need to clarify the roles of the stakeholders involved.
Issues were also discussed regarding the creation of a unified operational management center in Armenia, raising the level of public communication and awareness, and modernizing alert systems.
By the end, an agreement was reached to expand the multi-layered cooperation between Armenia and State of Kansas.
