Սեպտեմբերի 2-ին ՀՀ ներքին գործերի նախարար Արփինե Սարգսյանն ընդունել է Հայաստանում ԱՄՆ արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպան Քրիստինա Քվինին։
Նախարար Սարգսյանը ողջունել է դեսպանին և շնորհակալություն հայտնել ոստիկանության բարեփոխումներին Միացյալ Նահանգների շարունակական աջակցության համար՝ ընդգծելով, որ այդ համագործակցության շնորհիվ արձանագրվել են տեսանելի արդյունքներ։
Դեսպան Քվինը, իր հերթին, շնորհակալություն է հայտնել ջերմ ընդունելության համար և նշել, որ ԱՄՆ-ը բարձր է գնահատում Հայաստանի և Միացյալ Նահանգների միջև ձևավորված ռազմավարական հարաբերությունները։ Նա ընդգծել է ՆԳ նախարարության և ԱՄՆ դեսպանատան միջև առկա արդյունավետ համագործակցությունը։
Կողմերը կարևորել են օգոստոսի 8-ին վաշինգտոնյան հանդիպումները, ինչը ՀՀ-ԱՄՆ ռազմավարական համագործակցության նոր ուղղությունների հիմք է դարձել։
Հանդիպման ընթացքում քննարկվել են համագործակցության նոր ուղղություններն ու համատեղ ծրագրերը, այդ թվում՝ Պարեկային ծառայության, Քրեական ոստիկանության,
Ոստիկանության Գվարդիայի և ՆԳՆ կրթահամալիրի զարգացմանն ուղղված միջոցառումները։
Կողմերն անդրադարձել են նաև կիբեռլաբորատորիայի ստեղծման, Ոստիկանության Գվարդիայի ծառայողների վերապատրաստման ուղղությամբ ձեռնարկվելիք քայլերին։ Քննարկվել են նաև երկկողմ հետաքրքրություն ներկայացնող այլ հարցեր։
New directions for cooperation and joint programs were discussed: The Minister of Internal Affairs received the U.S. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary
On September 2, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Arpine Sargsyan, received the U.S. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia, Kristina Kvien.
Minister Sargsyan welcomed the Ambassador and expressed gratitude for the United States’ continued support for police reforms, emphasizing that tangible results have been achieved through this cooperation.
Ambassador Kvien, in turn, expressed appreciation for the warm welcome and noted that the United States highly values the strategic relations established between Armenia and the United States. She also emphasized the effective cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the U.S. Embassy.
The parties highlighted the meetings held in Washington on August 8, which have laid the foundation for new directions in Armenia–U.S. strategic cooperation.
During the meeting, new directions for cooperation and joint programs were discussed, including initiatives aimed at developing the Patrol Service, the Criminal Police, the Police Guard, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Educational Complex. The parties also addressed the establishment of a cyber laboratory and the measures to be undertaken for the retraining of Police Guard personnel.
Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
