ՆԳ նախարար Արփինե Սարգսյանը հոկտեմբերի 30-ին ընդունել է Եվրոպական հանձնաժողովի ընդլայնման և Արևելյան հարևանության գլխավոր տնօրինության Արևելյան հարևանության և Թուրքիայի հարցերով տնօրեն Էդրիեն Կիրալիի գլխավորած պատվիրակությանը։
Բարձր գնահատելով ԵՄ հետ սերտ համագործակցությունը՝ նախարար Սարգսյանն ընդգծել է վիզաների ազատականացման ուղղությամբ իրականացվող գործուն քայլերն ու շոշափելի արդյունքները։ Նա կարևորել է, որ շուտով Հայաստանի կառավարությանը կհանձնվի Գործողությունների ծրագիրը, ինչն էական խթան կհանդիսանա գործընթացներում։
Արփինե Սարգսյանը նշել է նաև Հայաստանում բիոմետրիկ համակարգի ներդրումը, որի արդյունքում 2026 թվականից քաղաքացիներին կտրամադրվեն նոր նմուշի անձնագրեր և նույնականացման քարտեր։
Նախարարն ընդգծել է,որ Միգրացիոն ռազմավարության մշակման աշխատանքները շարունակվում են և մինչև տարեվերջ պատրաստ կլինի կոնցեպտը։ Ակտիվ փուլում են նաև Խտրականության արգելման դեմ օրենսդրության մշակման ուղղությամբ աշխատանքները։ Բացի այդ նշվել է, որ առաջիկայում Հայաստանում առաջին անգամ ընդունվելու է Հանցավորության կանխարգելման միասնական ռազմավարություն և այդ ուղղությամբ իրականացվող աշխատանքները ևս ակտիվ փուլում են։
Էդրիեն Կիրալին իր խոսքում կարևորել է երկկողմ արդյունավետ գործընկերությունը և այն շարունակելու պատրաստակամություն հայտնել։ ԵՄ գործընկերները վերահաստատել են իրենց աջակցությունը Հայաստանի «Խաղաղության խաչմերուկ» նախաձեռնությանը։ Նրանք բարձր են գնահատել ԵՄ վիզաների ազատականացման ուղղությամբ Հայաստանի կողմից իրականացվող քայլերը։
Համագործակցության ամրապնդման տեսանկյունից կարևորվել է Եվրոպոլում Հայաստանի կողմից կապի սպայի նշանակումը, որի թեկնածությունը շուտով կներկայացվի։
Քննարկվել են նաև սահմանների կառավարման, ոստիկանության ոլորտում համագործակցության ընթացիկ ծրագրերին առնչվող հարցեր։
Armenia’s Efforts Towards EU Visa Liberalization Highly Appreciated: Minister of Internal Affairs Receives Delegation from the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations
On October 30, Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan received a delegation led by Adrienn Kiraly, Director for the Eastern Neighbourhood and Turkey at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations.
Highly appreciating the close cooperation with the EU, Minister Sargsyan emphasized the concrete measures and tangible results achieved towards visa liberalization. She underlined the importance of the forthcoming submission of the Action Plan to the Government of Armenia, noting that it will serve as a significant stimulus in the ongoing process.
Minister Sargsyan also noted the introduction of a biometric system in Armenia, which will allow citizens to receive new passports and identity cards starting in 2026.
The Minister emphasized that work on developing the Migration Strategy is ongoing, with the concept expected to be finalized by the end of the year. The drafting of legislation aimed at preventing discrimination is also in an active phase. In addition, it was noted that, for the first time in Armenia, a Unified Crime Prevention Strategy will soon be adopted, and related preparatory work is progressing actively.
In her remarks, Adrienn Kiraly emphasized the importance of an effective bilateral partnership and expressed readiness to continue it. EU partners reaffirmed their support for Armenia’s “Crossroads of Peace” initiative and highly appreciated the measures taken by Armenia towards EU visa liberalization.
From the perspective of strengthening cooperation, the appointment of a liaison officer for Armenia at Europol was highlighted, with the candidate to be presented soon.
Issues related to ongoing programs in border management and police cooperation were also discussed.
