Մայիսի 12-ին Ներքին գործերի նախարար Արփինե Սարգսյանն ընդունել է Հայաստանում Հունաստանի Հանրապետության արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպան Խրիստոս Սոֆիանոպուլոսին։
Նախարար Սարգսյանը ողջունելով դեսպան Սոֆիանոպուլոսին՝ անդրադարձել է Հայաստանի և Հունաստանի միջև ձևավորված բարեկամական հարաբերություններին՝ ընդգծելով գերատեսչական մակարդակով համագործակցությունն առավել խորացնելու անհրաժեշտությունը և առկա ներուժը։
Արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպանը, շնորհակալություն հայտնելով ջերմ ընդունելության համար, վերահաստատել է Հունաստանի պատրաստակամությունը՝ տարբեր ուղղություններով համագործակցությունը ընդլայնելու առումով։
Հանդիպման ընթացքում կողմերը առարկայական քննարկել են ոստիկանական համակարգում, քաղաքացիական պաշտպանության, ինչպես նաև միգրացիայի և քաղաքացիության ոլորտներում համագործակցության հնարավորությունները։
Առանձնահատուկ ուշադրություն է դարձվել ԵՄ-ի հետ վիզաների ազատականացման գործընթացի մեկնարկին։ Այս համատեքստում դեսպան Սոֆիանոպուլոսը հայտնել է իր երկրի լիակատար աջակցությունը։
Հանդիպմանը կողմերը քննարկել են երկկողմ համագործակցության առավել ամրապնդմանը վերաբերող այլ հարցեր՝ նախանշելով հետագա քայլերը։
Within the framework of the visa liberalization process with the EU the Ambassador of Greece expressed his country’s full support
On May 12 the Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Hellenic Republic to Armenia Christos Sofianopoulos.
The Minister Sargsyan, welcoming the Ambassador Sofianopoulos, referred to the friendly relations established between Armenia and Greece, emphasizing the need to deepen cooperation at the interagency level and the existing potential for doing so.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, expressing his gratitude for the warm reception, reaffirmed Greece’s readiness to expand cooperation in various areas.
During the meeting, the parties held a substantive discussion on opportunities for cooperation in the fields of policing, civil protection, as well as migration and citizenship.
Special attention was given to the launch of the EU visa liberalization process. In this context, the Ambassador Sofianopoulos expressed his country’s full support.
During the meeting, the parties discussed other issues related to strengthening bilateral cooperation, outlining the next steps.
