ՆԳ նախարար, ՀՀ-ԵՄ վիզաների ազատականացման հարցով Հայաստանի գլխավոր բանակցող Արփինե Սարգսյանը մայիսի 20-ին ընդունել է Եվրոպական հանձնաժողովի Միգրացիայի և ներքին գործերի գլխավոր տնօրենի տեղակալ Յոհաննես Լուխներին։
Քննարկվել են վիզաների ազատականացման գործընթացի շրջանակում կատարված աշխատանքները։ Կարևորվել է, որ Հայաստանը գնահատվել է որպես առաջանցիկ փուլում գտնվող երկիր փաստաթղթերի անվտանգության, սահմանների կառավարման, միգրացիայի և ապաստանի ոլորտներում։
Մատնանշվել է նաև Եվրոպական հանձնաժողովի նախագահ Ուրսուլա ֆոն դեր Լայենի դիտարկումը, ըստ որի՝ ԵՄ-ՀՀ վիզաների ազատականացման գործընթացում արձանագրված առաջընթացը կարևոր նշանակություն ունի թե՛ Հայաստանի, թե՛ Եվրոպական Միության համար․ համատեղ հետևողական աշխատանքի շնորհիվ հնարավոր է հասնել ակնկալվող արդյունքի։
Քննարկվել են նաև առանձին ուղղություններով կատարվելիք աշխատանքները, որոնց շրջանակում կողմերը կարևորել են սահմանված հենանիշերի լիարժեք իրականացումն ու գործընթացի հետևողական առաջխաղացումը։
Կողմերը վերահաստատել են համագործակցությունն ամրապնդելու և ընդլայնելու պատրաստակամությունը։
Armenia Has Made Significant Progress in the Visa Liberalisation Process: Arpine Sargsyan Receives Johannes Luchner
On 20 May, the Minister of Internal Affairs and Armenia’s Chief Negotiator on Armenia–EU Visa Liberalisation, Arpine Sargsyan, received Johannes Luchner, Deputy Director-General of the Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs (DG HOME) of the European Commission.
The parties discussed the work carried out. within the framework of the visa liberalisation process was discussed. It was highlighted that Armenia has been assessed as being at an advanced stage of fulfilment in the areas of document security, border management, migration and asylum.
Reference was also made to the observation by Ursula von der Leyen that the progress recorded in the Armenia–EU visa liberalisation process is of significant importance for both Armenia and the European Union, and that through consistent joint efforts, the expected results can be achieved.
The parties also discussed the work to be carried out in specific areas, stressing the importance of the full implementation of the established benchmarks and the continued advancement of the process.
The parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening and expanding cooperation.
