Սեպտեմբերի 12-ին Ներքին գործերի նախարար Արփինե Սարգսյանն ընդունել է ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղարության Եվրոպայի և Եվրասիայի բյուրոյի ղեկավար Բրենդան Հենրեհենի գլխավորած պատվիրակությանը։
Նախարար Սարգսյանը, ողջունելով հյուրերին, կարևորել է օգոստոսի 8-ին ԱՄՆ-ի միջնորդությամբ Հայաստան-Ադրբեջան խաղաղության համաձայնագրի նախաստորագրումը և ընդգծել խաղաղության հաստատման գործում ԱՄՆ-ի ունեցած նշանակալի դերը։ Բարձր է գնահատվել նաև ՀՀ-ԱՄՆ փոխըմբռնման երեք հուշագրերի ստորագրումը, որոնցով ՀՀ-ի համար բացվում են համագործակցության նոր հնարավորություններ։
Արփինե Սարգսյանն անդրադարձել է նաև երկկողմ արդյունավետ համագործակցությանը՝ ընդգծելով հատկապես կազմակերպված հանցավորության, կիբեռհանցագործությունների և անօրինական միգրացիայի դեմ պայքարը, կարևորել ոստիկանության բարեփոխումներին աջակցությունը։ Այս համատեքստում ընդգծվել է նաև կիբեռլաբորատորիա ստեղծելու շուրջ քննարկումների ընթացքը։
Բրենդան Հենրեհենը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել ջերմ ընդունելության համար, բարձր գնահատել Հայաստանի և ԱՄՆ-ի միջև առկա սերտ գործընկերությունը և կարևորել Ներքին գործերի նախարարության հետ համագործակցությունը՝ պատրաստակամություն հայտնելով շարունակել այն։
Կողմերը քննարկել են նաև տարածքային ամբողջականության, ինքնիշխանության, իրավազորության, սահմանների անխախտելիության սկզբունքների հիման վրա ներկայացված՝ «Թրամփի ուղի՝ հանուն միջազգային խաղաղության և բարգավաճման» (TRIPP) նախագծին առնչվող հարցեր։
Հանդիպման ընթացքում քննարկվել են նաև համագործակցությանը վերաբերող այլ հարցեր։
The Minister of Internal Affairs Receives Director of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs to Discuss the “Trump’s Route for International Peace and Prosperity” Initiative
On September 12, Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan received the delegation headed by Brendan Henrahan, Senior Bureau Official, Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs (EUR) of the U.S. Department of State.
Welcoming the guests, Minister Sargsyan highlighted the importance of the preliminary signing of the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace agreement on August 8, 2025, mediated by the United States, and emphasized the significant role of the U.S. in establishing peace. The signing of three memoranda of understanding between RA and the USA was also highly appreciated, opening new opportunities for cooperation for Armenia. Minister Arpine Sargsyan also addressed the effective bilateral cooperation, particularly emphasizing the fight against organized crime, cybercrime, and illegal migration, while highlighting the importance of support for police reforms. In this context, ongoing discussions regarding the establishment of a cyber laboratory were also underscored.
Brendan Hanrahan expressed gratitude for the warm reception, highly valued the close partnership between Armenia and the United States, and emphasized the importance of cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, expressing readiness to continue this cooperation.
The parties also discussed issues related to the “Trump’s Route for International Peace and Prosperity” (TRIPP) initiative, which is based on the principles of preserving Armenia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Other issues related to cooperation were also discussed during the meeting.
